I was diagnosed in February of 2019 with stage 3 Invasive Ductal Carcinoma breast cancer. I was only 34 years old and had just had a baby. Cancer has completely changed the course of my life. It made it difficult for me to care for my 2 daughters – 11 years old and 4 months at the time of my diagnosis. My husband had only been married for one year. We had to do fertility treatments because we still wanted another baby and may or may not be able to use the embryo. Even if I reach remission, I will forever be afraid of recurrence and disease progression.
