A cancer diagnosis impacts every corner of life—shifting career goals, relationships, identity, and personal momentum. While your medical team focuses on your clinical care, navigating the day-to-day realities of living with cancer requires a different kind of support. From managing treatment side effects and life transitions to finding clarity for what lies ahead, every stage of the journey comes with its own unique set of questions.
In this inclusive community call, we’re joined by Bill Phillips of the KFG Project to explore how specialized cancer coaching can help bridge the gap between medical care and everyday life. Whether you are newly diagnosed, currently in active treatment, living with advanced cancer, or navigating long-term survivorship, this session will offer actionable guidance on finding clarity, regaining momentum, and moving forward with purpose wherever you are today.
What You’ll Learn:
- The Whole-Life Impact: How cancer uniquely affects young adults—across career, relationships, identity, and future planning—at any stage of diagnosis or treatment.
- What is Cancer Coaching?: Clarifying the difference between clinical therapy, medical care, and specialized cancer coaching.
- Practical Support for Every Stage: How coaching offers practical tools to manage current challenges, set realistic goals, and process life shifts in real time.
- The KFG Project: An introduction to the mission and resources provided by the KFG Project to empower young adult cancer patients and survivors.
- Q&A with Bill: An open space to ask questions and discuss how coaching can fit into your personal journey.
About Our Speaker:
Bill Phillips is a retired U.S. Navy Commander, cancer survivor, and the founder of The KFG Project—a nonprofit dedicated to helping individuals facing life-altering health challenges reclaim their identity, resilience, and purpose. After nearly 23 years in Naval Aviation flying EA-18G Growlers and leading in senior roles at The Pentagon, Bill’s own cancer diagnosis marked a turning point. Experiencing firsthand how mindset coaching, holistic practices, and medicine work together, he realized that while clinical care treats the body, patients and caregivers often fight the mental, emotional, and identity battles alone. Today, Bill channels his high-pressure leadership experience into empowering others to navigate adversity with clarity and momentum, bridging the gap between medical treatment and living with purpose.
