About Our Speakers:
Coy Thompson is the Program Director at Connecting Champions. Born and raised in Harrisburg, PA, and a graduate of Allegheny College, Coy brings a diverse background in education and international service to his work. After earning his Montessori Teacher Certification and teaching in North Carolina, Coy and his wife served in the United States Peace Corps in Belize and Costa Rica. Upon returning to the U.S., he taught in Pittsburgh for several years before joining the Connecting Champions team, where he is dedicated to bringing his wealth of experience to the families and participants the organization serves.
Danielle Conklin serves as the Virtual Program Coordinator at Connecting Champions. A native of Grand Rapids, Michigan, Danielle is a Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist and a graduate of Central Michigan University. With a degree in Recreation, Parks, and Leisure Administration Services, her professional focus has always been on the transformative power of recreation. Danielle is passionate about helping individuals discover how engaging in meaningful, purposeful activities can significantly improve quality of life, and she is committed to supporting participants and mentors in achieving their personal goals.
