Find Your Path to Resilience
Join the Dear Jack Foundation in the heart of the Lowcountry for our Breathe Now Survivors Retreat in Savannah, Georgia.
Designed specifically for young adult survivors, this three-day, professionally guided retreat offers a sanctuary for self-discovery. Surrounded by Savannah’s iconic moss-draped oaks and historic charm, you will be invited to pause and reconnect with yourself. Our curriculum focuses on three foundational themes: identity, resilience, and growth, helping you navigate the transition from patient to survivor in a supportive, peer-led environment.
The Retreat Experience
The program officially begins the evening of October 8th and concludes the afternoon of October 11th. Throughout the weekend, you will engage in:
-
Yoga & Meditation: Transformational breathwork and movement tailored for all physical levels to help you ground your body and mind.
-
Psychosocial Breakouts: Guided group sessions led by professionals to explore the emotional complexities of life after cancer.
-
A Supportive Community: An opportunity to share your story and build deep, lasting connections with others who truly “get it.”
-
Coastal Reflection: Enjoy the restorative atmosphere of one of the South’s most beautiful and historic cities.
Participant Requirements
To ensure a safe and impactful experience for all, we ask that applicants meet the following criteria:
-
Age: Open to young adult survivors between the ages of 18–39.
-
Treatment Status: Participants should be at least one year out from their last day of active cancer treatment (those in treatment for chronic or metastatic disease are welcome to apply).
-
Commitment to the Process: We ask that you are vested in the experience and open to exploring new mindful practices through yoga and group dialogue.
-
Accessibility: Accommodations will always be made for those with physical limitations; we simply ask for a willingness to participate in activities like meditation and gentle movement.
-
Respect & Sharing: A willingness to share your journey and maintain a respectful, supportive attitude toward your fellow participants.
