Join us in the heart of the Pacific Northwest for the Dear Jack Foundation’s Breathe Now Individuals Retreat in Portland, Oregon.
Specifically designed for young adult cancer survivors, this three-day retreat offers a unique opportunity to pause, reflect, and reconnect with yourself in a supportive community of peers who truly understand the complexities of life after cancer. Hosted at the stylish and art-filled Hotel Lucia, participants will be guided through a weekend of restorative programming aimed at healing the mind and body.
Throughout the retreat, licensed professionals and dedicated staff will lead sessions that include:

Restorative Yoga & Meditation: Mindful movement and breathwork tailored for all physical levels to help restore balance.

Psychosocial Breakout Sessions: Professionally guided group conversations focused on the unique challenges of survivorship, identity, and emotional growth.

Community Building: Opportunities to share stories and form lifelong friendships with other survivors.

Local Exploration: Time to enjoy the vibrant culture and scenic beauty of Portland.
Participant Requirements

Age: Open to young adult survivors between the ages of 18–39.

Treatment Status: Participants must be at least one year out from their last day of active treatment (those in treatment for metastatic/chronic disease may also apply).

Activity Level: Participants must be physically able and willing to participate in activities such as yoga and light walking.

Commitment: We ask that participants be open to mindful experiences and willing to engage in honest, respectful group dialogue.
What’s Included?
The Dear Jack Foundation covers the cost of retreat programming, accommodations at Hotel Lucia, and all group meals. Participants are responsible for their airfare/transportation to and from Portland, as well as any personal incidentals. Travel grants are available for those in need; please inquire upon acceptance of your application.
