Join us for a thoughtful and practical conversation on how social media can serve as a source of support, connection, and empowerment during your cancer experience—and how to navigate it safely and intentionally.

This call will explore:

  • How AYAs are using social media to connect and share their stories
  • The benefits and potential risks of “cancer social media”
  • Tips for creating a positive and protective online experience

    We’ll be joined by Alex Psihogios, Ph.D., a clinical psychologist and Assistant Professor in the Department of Medical Social Sciences at Northwestern University’s Feinberg School of Medicine. Dr. Psihogios’ research focuses on improving care and outcomes for AYAs through patient-centered digital health strategies—like social media, apps, and text-based tools. Her work includes partnering directly with AYA survivors and collaborating with influential content creators to make digital support more engaging and accessible.
