After trying for a baby for more than five years, I finally got pregnant and my husband and I had our baby in February of 2023. When I went to my post-op appointment, my doctor felt a lump in my right breast and decided I should get an ultrasound, just in case. Unfortunately, after the ultrasound, a biopsy, and an MRI, it was confirmed that I had breast cancer. Since the cancer is so aggressive, I started treatment with chemotherapy, and will be undergoing a double mastectomy later this year, which will be followed by breast reconstruction surgery.
