I am a full-time working wife, mom to three young girls, and step-mom to a college-aged step-son. In May of 2022, I got the heartbreaking news that I had breast cancer. I am currently post radiation therapy, but am still struggling to regain some normalcy in my everyday life, especially with the constant medical appointments and the long list of side-effects I have. There is never a good time or age for a cancer diagnosis however, being a young mother to 3 smaller kids is particularly difficult. Juggling my treatments, appointments and side effects has been closely linked to whether or not I have childcare.
