I think the most difficult part about having cancer (this time around, lol) has been that my life has completely shifted. When I was diagnosed at the age of 12, I was still relying on my Mom, so relying on her through treatment did not phase me. This time when I was diagnosed, I was in college living on my own, and now that I had to put that on hold I am relying a lot on my mom again. This is why I’m so grateful; however, it’s hard to transition back to a care receiver role.
