I was diagnosed with leiomyosarcoma which presented as a lump on my arm at age 19 that was surgically removed. At the age of 33, I was diagnosed with undifferentiated pleomorphic sarcoma which presented as a softball sized tumor in my abdomen. I had extensive surgery to remove the tumor, including the Whipple procedure and a right hemicolectomy. I was then treated with one year of immunotherapy. This year, at the age of 37, I was diagnosed with Li-Fraumeni Syndrome and metastatic undifferentiated pleomorphic sarcoma which is now presenting in my bones in multiple locations. I underwent 4 cycles of chemo which wasn’t working very well so I was switched to immunotherapy and just completed my second cycle with an open ended completion date.
