I moved to Colorado in October of 2020 and was diagnosed with Hodgkin’s lymphoma on January 4th, 2021, at the ripe age of 24. I was supposed to have six months of treatment then be done but two months from my end date I grew a lump in my neck during chemo. I had to have that biopsied to make sure it was also Hodgkin’s. It turned out it was and with that my chemo regimen changed and then we started talking about a stem cell transplant. I had a stem cell transplant on October 6th of 2021. It was one of the worst experiences I’ve ever had. I got out of the hospital on October 20th, 2021, and then went back into the hospital on November 17, 2021. I had a mystery virus that no one could figure out what it was, my blood pressure would not stay stable, and then I got C. diff and almost died. I started to recover from that which is/was incredibly difficult and then my city caught on fire and my apartment was ruined so here we are in January of 2022.
