At the beginning of 2021, when I was 28-years-old, I was diagnosed with synovial sarcoma. I was given the choice of amputation or trying to save my foot. I decided to try and save my foot. During my 25 treatments of radiation I lost a baby, have been in the middle of a messy divorce, and had to step away from my job as a nurse due to foot pain. I completed surgery in December and I am still learning to walk again.  I am newly in remission and will need one more reconstructive surgery on my foot. My family and I have struggled tremendously during this time; financially, mentally, physically, and emotionally.
