My name is Camlyn and I am 25 years old. I graduated from Oklahoma State University in May 2016, and was hired immediately out of college and then moved to Chicago for training.
In January of 2017, I was transferred with my job to Akron, Ohio, and moved out there without knowing anyone. Around late February that year, I started having really bad headaches, where I couldn’t sleep or bend down.
On April 10, 2017, I had an MRI, and was immediately checked into the ER to see a neurosurgeon. I was diagnosed with a brain tumor in my cerebellum. Two days later I went into surgery. After I was out of surgery, the doctors explained that it was a medulloblastoma and I would need radiation and chemotherapy. I finished my last treatment August 14th, 2018. I have not been able to work since surgery, but in the next three months as my body heals I plan to go back to work.
