Cancer came out of nowhere for me. I was in middle school when I started feeling pain in my arm that would not go away. After several tests, doctors told me I had leukemia. This was the first time I saw my mother cry. Since then my mom has been by my side through every doctor appointment, chemotherapy treatment- literally everything! She rearranged her entire life for me.
This road has been tough and I’ve had to give up a lot, but I have also learned to appreciate life on life’s terms. I know one day I will beat cancer. Until then, through the awful side effects, the pain, the missing out, and crying, I will fight with everything I have.
